My Story
My name is Javier Baena Ávila and I am a VFX Digital Compositor, currently living in Barcelona.
In reference to my studies, I have a degree in Audiovisual Communication at the University of Barcelona an I have cursed The VFX School at Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya.
I have worked as VFX Digital Compositor for 3+ years, in Feature Films as Society of the Snow (J.A. Bayona, 2023), Locked in (Nour Wazzi, 2023) and A Whale (Pablo Hernando, 2024). Also for TV Series as La Última Noche en Tremor (Oriol Paulo, 2024), Asalto al Banco Central (Daniel Calparsoro, 2024), 30 Monedas (Alex de la Iglesia, 2023) and TV Spots like the newest Moeve campaing.
In my free time, I love to practice sports. I competed in 400 metres hurdles for years. Nowadays, I am x4 time half-marathon & x2 marathon finisher, so I would like to believe that I have a great sacrifice spirit and mental resilience for great challenges.
